Chesnut Spring Series by Elsie Silver

This series has been my entrance into the world of small town, cowboy romance and I've loved every minute of it.

Flawless (#1)

Bull Rider | Sports | Western/Country | Small Town | Enemies-to-lovers
Included in Kindle Unlimited

Summer and Rhett are a hoot and a half. Rhett is a professional bull rider who is...trouble. Summer's father in charge of his public relations and has hit his wits end with Rhett. He places Summer in charge of changing his image and keeping him out of any more trouble. Which means she has eyes on him 24/7. And they don't particularly like each other.

But wow. Holy hell. This book was a ride from beginning to end. The banter was incredible and Elsie begins her chapters with text messages which is so fun! I couldn't believe I actually enjoyed a country/western book because it was never my cup of tea, but wow - now it is.

“I’m tired of doing what I should and ignoring what I want. And what I want is you. Inside me. All around me. I want you with me. And I want to be the only one.”

Heartless (#2)

Age Gap | Single Dad | Boss/Nanny | Grumpy/Sunshine | Enemies-to-lovers
Included in Kindle Unlimited

Willa and Cade meet accidentally in a coffee shop in the most unique of ways. Neither thinks (and probably hopes) that they'll never see the other again. Except fate happens when she shows up at his house to become his new nanny for his son, Luke. He's a grump, she's walking sunshine and he believes he'll never like her, but his son adores her. Since Willa is a smart mouthed, headstrong, independent, vibrant woman, Cade's defenses comes down pretty quick and they begin to fall for each other.

I don't even know what to say about this book. I loved every single second of it. Willa is my spirit person. Cade is a dirty talking, hot, single dad and I ate it up. I'm a sucker for single dad/nanny books and this one was no different.

God, I swooned so much in this. It truly had no business being as funny as it was.  It's so heartfelt, hysterical, cute, hot and everything I always hope for in a romance book. Do yourself a favor and read it.

Also, Miss Silver, that kitchen scene?! I will never get over it. Ever.
That’s always been the wildest thing to me about having a kid. I’m never without him. Never stop thinking about him. Worrying about him. And somehow, in a matter of weeks, Willa has implanted herself into that same space.

Powerless (#3)

Childhood friends-to-lovers | Sports (hockey and ballet) |
Included in Kindle Unlimited

Elsie Silver has solidified that she is one of my favorite authors of all time. First of all, the cover? Absolutely stunning and I was shook when she revealed the cover. Still obsessed.

Jasper and Sloane have known each other since they were 11 and 15. She's set to be married to a man she doesn't love for her father. On the day of her wedding, Jasper comes to the rescue and helps her run. After that, they are given news that changes everything for them. In an effort to help their family, they leave town together for a few days. And things are brought to light that have the both of them questioning everything.

“It’s impossible to forget how long I’ve known you, Sunny,”

I'm not normally a friends to lover kind of girlie, but this has changed my mind. It was such a beautifully written story and gave love and growth and redemption and I ate it all up. The spice was insane and so well done and I cannot say enough good things about Elsie and this book. Truly it's my favorite so far.

The cousins joke honestly never got old and cracked me up each time. And the text messages? And seeing all the old characters? I'm absolutely done. This series will be the end of me it's so good.

Because I’ve been staring at Jasper Gervais since I was ten years old, and suddenly . . . he’s staring back.
